The Head of the IT Department, Mr. Jaroslav Kadleček, has been working at SAB Finance, a.s. for 10 years now and has been moving the IT field forward and thus hand in hand with the satisfaction of his clients. At the same time, he has been working closely with mediaport solutions, s.r.o., which he considers not only as a supplier of IT systems and services, but also as an important strategic partner.

You are the head of the IT department at SAB Finance a.s., what are your responsibilities within your position and what areas do you specifically handle?

I am responsible for the operation and development of the IT area for SAB Finance, a.s., including communication with IT service providers. I ensure the approval of orders and delivered work by suppliers, manage internal and external IT projects and control the budget spending for these projects.

We have been cooperating with SAB Finance, a.s. for 15 years now, how long have you personally been working directly with us and what requirements do you address to us as a supplier of systems and services?

I have been working at SAB Finance, a.s. since 2015, so our cooperation has been going on for almost 10 years. Currently, our team consists of three people and we turn to Mediso with requirements related to:

  • development of mediplatform applications, IS SABFIS and support of these applications;
  • support of user workstations and infrastructure;
  • ensuring the operation of systems in the data centre.

What systems and services do we supply? How many staff develop and maintain these systems?

The main systems and services from mediaport solutions, s.r.o. include SABFIS, Mediplatform, IT Support, application support for IS SABFIS and Mediplatform, Prostream and the infrastructure management itself. The systems and services are developed, delivered and managed for us by approximately 25 employees of mediaport solutions, s.r.o.

This is a fairly diverse list of the main systems and services that mediaport solutions, s.r.o. SAB Finance, Inc. supplies. Would you please give us an overview of what SABFIS is, what it involves and how it works?

Of course, SABFIS is a transaction system providing foreign currency exchange services for SAB Finance clients. It has online communication integration with selected banks and is connected to the online platform Prostream. SABFIS enables SAB Finance to provide products to our clients, so it is our core system. It will allow us to sign a contract with the client, accept the exchange request, further settle the exchange by sending funds to the target accounts as requested. Gradually, other payment services are being added to SABFIS, which will allow us to reach more clients and thus grow our company beyond the Czech market.

So how is SABFIS connected to the Prostream platform?

Simply put, Prostream is the web interface to the SABFIS IS for our clients. Prostream is an online platform that allows clients to submit requests to SABFIS via a web interface. It reduces the burden on the dealing department, allowing us to serve more SAB Finance clients and for us to expand into foreign markets.

How is our cooperation going and how do you evaluate it?

The requests from SAB Finance are made in several ways. Formally it is done through the iTOP ticketing system and informally through the MS Teams platform. We are grateful for this route, it allows for much more efficient and flexible cooperation than with other suppliers. Our collaboration is also greatly helped by joint online meetings. This is an advantage we lack with most other suppliers.

I see it as an advantage that we have mediaport solutions, s.r.o. as a partner with whom we tailor solutions for us and can take advantage of synergies with your other clients.

SAB Finance is a company that is based on strong client relationships and values. For this reason, we are also a very demanding client within this area and see room for better communication, whether in strategic or operational solutions. What is promised must be paid, whether in terms of time or cost. If a client has any complication with the service, we immediately do our best in rectifying it and making sure that the client is satisfied afterwards.
